USM Haller

System Overview

Modular furniture in timeless designs. That is the principle behind USM since its inception over 40 years ago. Furniture for the home and office environments which is created from just a few basic elements. A tailor-made solution that can be expanded or reconfigured at any time. Each piece of furniture allows room for individual versatility and creativity. Growth in all directions. A chrome-plated brass ball joint is the central element of USM’s Haller. Chromed steel tubes connect to the ball to form a stable framework in which the powder-coated metal panels (available in 11 colors) and internal organizational elements are mounted. Each unit is customized from the standard components to satisfy the individual user’s requirements. The basic structure of the furniture is created according to the desired function. Various accessories can be added for further customization. The use of metal materials guarantees a long and durable life of the product. Options such as acoustic panels for sound absorption, each individually enhance the utilization of the furniture system. All metal panels, including the acoustic elements are powder coated and available in fourteen standard colors. In applying the color, we place great importance on an environmentally friendly, non-harmful coating processes.

USM Haller Desk (Black Worksurface)

This has been the principle of USM Modular Furniture since it's inception over 40 years ago. In 1960 Paul Schaerer met with Swiss Architect Fritz Haller help design and construct the new USM factory building. Schaerer loved Haller's ability to fulfill his requirements for a flexibly factory building with the vision of a unique steel modular construction system. Shortly after the opening of the USM Factory, the two began creating a furniture line to compliment the qualities of the architecture of USM's new headquarters. The result of their collaboration is a flexible system based on simple components that would adapt and withstand the growth and change we all face in our lives. This is a black desk with a pencil/drawer/file ped to accompany it. Contact us for a price.
