Harry Bertoia
Born in 1915 in San Lorenzo, Italy, Harry Bertoia became one of the most recognizable and influential people in design and modern furniture. He has worked and collaborated with many other designers in this field such as Charles and Rae Eames when they worked for the Evans Product Company and the famous architect of the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Eero Saarinen. Bertoia is most noted for his diamond and bird chairs he designed for Knoll Studios.

Charles and Ray Eames
The famous married design duo responsible for advances in industrial and furniture design. Maintained a philosophy based on the banana leaf used in southern India as a food plate, representing something simple with a specific function that over time with progression of design is turned into something more elaborate. They are predominately recognized for their lounge chair and ottoman as well as their aluminum group which includes such beautiful designs as the management chair.

Knoll Studios
Knoll is a rare company that practices sustainable design whereby they make every effort in yielding furniture while conserving natural resources and reducing wastes to the environment. They are known worldwide for their office systems and desks and have worked with designers and architects alike such as Ludwig Mies van Der Rohe, Harry Bertoia, Maya Lin and Eero Saarinen to produce pieces under their name.

Herman Miller
A leading innovator and manufacture in office furniture since 1923, Herman Miller has collaborated with such minds as Charles and Rae Eames, George Nelson, Isame Noguchi and Alexander Girard to yield such famous designs as the Aeron Chair, Equa Chair and the Eames Lounge Chair. They are even responsible for the invention of the Cubicle, which at the time they titled the "Action Office." Like Knoll, Herman Miller practices environmental responsibility by using a database of products to account for consumption and waste and figure out new ways to reduce the two as well as running 27% of their company off renewable energy sources.

Pierre Paulin
Started in Paris studying clay modeling and stone carving, he found a niche at Thonet and began to design furniture thus launching his career in modern furniture landing him a position at Artifort as a main designer. One of his most recognizable works is his Ribbon Chair, a living room or reception area piece for those who demand style and comfort. Paulin's philosophy is a simple one, "a chair should be more than simply functional. It should be friendly, fun and colorful."

Jorge Pensi
Known for his expressive minimalism as clearly seen in his Toledo set which adorns the floors of cafe's and outdoor restaurants around the world, Pensi has found a balance between form and function. He has worked with IBM, Knoll Studios, SIDI and Disform as well as a number of other firms to produce works that have made him recognizable on a global scale.

Richard Schultz
Famous for his outdoor collection made in 1966, Schultz has been designing this style of furniture with the finest materials such as porcelain enamel and PTFE Teflon. Additionally, in their 2002 Collection, their frames started to be made entirely of stainless steel in an attempt to keep their customers confident that Richard Schultz products will not oxidize or corrode outdoors.
